02/12: Half Day Nation

With two guys being in the wrong place at the right time, the oddest thing happened…Half Day Nation.

Vocalist Ashley Sharp is from Australia, but resides now in Finland. He used to live a surf coast life, which comes through in his bluesy acoustic sound.

Then enter Tero Heikkinen, the Finnish member of the group. Coming from Helsinki but residing in Spain, he brings his Scandinavian electro style to all corners of the project. With the recent addition of Ilja Salonen on drums and percussion Half Day Nation’s rhythm is stronger than ever.

Since the release of their debut EP “Rhythm Strong” in the fall of 2010, they have played shows in Finland and in Spain, their songs have got radio play in both countries and they have been featured in various surf videos (Oakley, Rip Curl).

Now Half Day Nation is proud to present their latest offering, a single called ‘Status Is Fought’. The track has been co-produced by Finnish hip hop act Super Janne (aka Ennio Monnicone) and it will be surely raising some waves. Rhythm Strong
