Helsinki – Capital and the largest city in Finland. Located in southern Finland, on the shore of the Gulf of Finland.

How would you describe your band for those who don’t know you?

Melodic (death) metal with grunts and clean vocals. Straight forward music influenced with pop and industrial elements.

When did you form as a group?

In the end of 2008.

What was the inspiration for your recent album?

The dark side of life and passion for metal music. A lust to create an album full of songs we are proud of.

What other releases do you have?

None yet. We started straight with a full length debut album.

What is your favorite song on your most recent album?

Lets say “Cry For Innocence” since it is quite versatile and includes all the different elements “DEF” has to offer.

Do you have any gigs coming up?

No. For the time being we don’t do live shows. We work together only in rehearsals and studio.

What’s your favorite type of venue to play?

A dark standing-only club with a capacity of 200 people.

If you could play anywhere in the world this week, where would it be?

Finland, Helsinki Ice Hall, with In Flames

Do you have a Website, MySpace, Facebook, Twitter etc?

What are your influences as a band?

In Flames, Soilwork, The Haunted, Arch Enemy, Gojira, Brujeria, Sepultura, Machine Head, Opeth, Rob Zombie, Faith No More, Alice In Chains, etc…

People who enjoy your music tend to like what other bands?

In Flames, Soilwork, Pain, MyGrain, The Haunted, Arch Enemy, Omnium Gatherum, etc…

Are you signed to a label?

No. We are independent.

Where do you think you’ll be as a band in 5 years?

In a dirt pit full of cynical attitude and self-irony. I think we are there already…

Is there anything else people should know about Dead End Finland?

No – there is absolutely nothing else :)
