11/11: Ignoring Timelines

Ignoring Timelines is a shiny happy punk rock band from southern Finland. Sounds quite a bit like Paramore but with the balls between the legs!

In 2008, Henkka and Jani had become good friends after having followed each others’ music projects and messing around too often in the same pre-parties, parties, and after-parties. They wanted to play music together and at the same time the idea of bringing in Jani’s old band mate, Sakari, came up to their fuzzy minds. The guys formed a tribute band for one of the most successful Finnish punk-rock musical acts where they played one gig at a friend’s farewell party under the name “Krapulanta”.

After having survived the night, they remembered what great fun it was and decided to continue the journey with some of their own material. After a line-up change, Henkka switched from the bass to the vocals while Joonas jumped in for the bass. In 2010, Joonas felt it was too hard combining his rushing life with the band so Mikko took the place on the left hand side of Henkka. Eventually Jani left the band and was replaced by Joona on guitar. Since then, Ignoring Timelines has always been late, but still in there!
