How would you describe your band for those who don’t know you?
THE Hurriganes tribute band.
When did you form as a group?
Spring 2011.
What was the inspiration for your recent album?
Saluting the 40th Anniversary of Finland’s first real rock & roll band, the Hurriganes.
What other releases do you have?
This is it… for the moment being…
What is your favorite song on your most recent album?
It changes daily. At the moment I’d say ‘Mister X’, because it has the coolest vocal track… Even Richard Stanley himself complimented Max’s performance. You’d have to ask the other guys for their opinions of course.
Do you have any gigs coming up?
Can’t wait to rock these out on stage! We’ll keep you posted as soon as we can confirm stuff. A bunch of bankers wanted us to play at a party that Remu himself would be attending, but we had to turn that down because of scheduling issues…
What’s your favorite type of venue to play?
A smallish club with good tech people.
If you could play anywhere in the world this week, where would it be?
Tavastia…or the Whiskey in LA.

What are your influences as a band?
The obvious one. So far just the line-up with Albert Järvinen, but we’re going to jam on some Ile Kallio tunes as well.
People who enjoy your music tend to like what other bands?
George Thorogood & The Destroyers, AC/DC, Motörhead, Michael Monroe, Hanoi Rocks, Lenny Kravitz…
Are you signed to a label?
No.
Where do you think you’ll be as a band in 5 years?
Better.
Is there anything else people should know about The J Ganes Band?
Just listen to the tunes. Preferably from large speakers so I can be heard.
