How would you describe your band for those who don’t know you?

Well, we play CUNT EXPLODING METAL!!! Our music has been developed to its’ present form from the early days of Black and Death Metal.

When did you form as a group?

Originally in 1989. We were called Necrobiosis in the beginning. In 1991 the name was changed to Thromdarr. So, it makes full 20 years of metal!

What was the inspiration for your recent album?

We have been composing material for the album since 1999, so basically it took ten years to create ten songs. It has been a long process. However, our aim was to do consistent album and I think we succeed on that. What I’m saying is that our new album represents the previous ten of Thromdarr with a solid sound. Well, where the actual inspiration comes… life, alcohol, sex and revenge…

What other releases do you have?

NorthStorm Arrives CD in 2000. Some demos in ’90s. Whole catalog can be found for example in Facebook.

For All Those Who Dig My Grave. It was very challenging to create it, but I’m very happy with the end result. In my opinion, the song is having nice and long solo parts, and massive ending.

Do you have any gigs coming up?

The album release concert will take place in club Escape in Riihimäki on the 9th of April. We will share the stage with another local group, 0XiST.

What’s your favorite type of venue to play?

As there is minus 30 degrees outside at the moment, I would say, it would be some Metal Festival in summer!

If you could play anywhere in the world this week, where would it be?

California would be nice.

Do you have a Website, MySpace, Facebook, Twitter etc?

What are your influences as a band?

I’d say 80′s metal. From Iron Maiden to Celtic Frost and Bathory.

People who enjoy your music tend to like what other bands?

Well, mostly 80′s stuff. I heard some like Omnium Gatherum, Silentium, Diablo and Children of Bodom.

Are you signed to a label?

Yes. We signed with Violent Journey Records. Great label! Good work Vesku! Our new CD Electric Hellfire will be released on the 9th of April.

Where do you think you’ll be as a band in 5 years?

After 20 years of experience I could say we are still playing and maybe we have returned back to our Black Metal roots. Who knows…
