Where in Finland are you from?

Tornio

How would you describe your band for those who don’t know you?

We’re alcohol fueled steamrollers on the loose. If it’s fast or slow, it doesn’t really matter, our songs keep hammering your bones until you can’t help but shake your ass and raise your fists.

When did you form as a group?

We did our first demo tapes (yes, c-cassettes) in ’95, those days we were called “Burt Fiction”. When we realized that Burt Reynolds wore a wig we had to ditch it, Lambs was natural follower.

What was the inspiration for your recent album?

Timo:

For me it was once again trying to top what I did on the previous album, and I think I accomplished that pretty well.

Tommy:

Getting the shit out of my system.

What other releases do you have?

Before this one we’ve done Lambs ’00, Random Radio ’02, Finis Fidei ’03, With Every Bullet So Far ’05, Twist of Pain ’08, Live at the Boat Island Studios ’08.

What is your favorite song on your most recent album?

Tommy:

At the moment it’s Kill Screen.

Timo:

My favourite is Twilight of the Dogs.

Do you have any gigs coming up?

Got 3 for the next weekend and working on more, I hope we’d get around as much as possible.

What’s your favorite type of venue to play?

Timo:

Radio city music hall in N.Y.City…if that’s not available then The Blues Station in Tornio will have to do.

If you could play anywhere in the world this week, where would it be?

Tommy:

It’s freezing here, so I think we’d do our own “Aloha from Hawaii via Satellite”. That’d shake things up a bit.

People who enjoy your music tend to like what other bands?

Actually it varies quite a lot, we’ve got mail and messages from punks, rockers and metalheads. Once we did a small survey with Jango and were a bit suprised that we we’re quite popular among the fans of Megadeth, Anthrax and Judas Priest.

Are you signed to a label?

We have our own, Boat Island Studios.

Where do you think you’ll be as a band in 5 years?

Having fun recroding our stuff in our own studio.

Is there anything else people should know about Lambs?

We stand and have always stood behind our own music. Many trends have died but Lambs remain. Some do it for the money, some do it for the parties and the girls, we do it for the music and if it’d be anything else we wouldn’t be here anymore.
