Where in Finland are you from?
Oulu, Northern Finland.
How would you describe your band for those who don’t know you?
Relentless and unforgiving extreme metal of death!! No trendy bullshit, just sheer mosh-friendly mayhem, in true spirit of extreme metal legends, like Possessed, Morbid Angel, old Sepultura, Cannibal Corpse etc.
When did you form as a group?
Inspired by Possessed come back shows in 2007, Antti Heikkinen decided to put up a group that would show no mercy to anything or anyone, least to the artists themselves! After a couple of text messages the seed of Sadistik Forest was sown and here we are today. Even though our band is not that old itself, each of us have been playing metal for more than a decade.
What was the inspiration for your recent album?
Well, we were thinking that there aren’t too many groups around (at least there weren’t in those days) that played the metal of death the way we liked it. It would be either technical death metal nonsense, or hyperspeed assault. We rather tried to capture the spirit of those early 90′s dm-classics that we loved.
What other releases do you have?
Mainly, it’s just our self-titled debut for now. We released a three track promo, before the record deal with Violent Journey Records, but we don’t see that as a proper release. We’re currently preparing to record the follow up to the album in summer 2011, though.
What is your favorite song on your most recent album?
They’re all excellent, you know. 
The Thrashed Fate is propably the most fun to play live, Withered, The Attempt and In the Mazed Pits of the Underworld are very very good songs too, in my opinion.
Do you have any gigs coming up?
We played gigs for all the late part of 2010 and january 2011, supporting out album. Now we’re taking a breather for february and returning to live front in spring 2011. There’s also few gigs coming up outside Finland, that we’re all really psyched up about. 
What’s your favorite type of venue to play?
Basically, anything goes. Tightly packed club, is propably the best for our kind of music. Crowd goes mental and you can smell the sweat and blood. Personally, i’m really eager to play festival stages too!
If you could play anywhere in the world this week, where would it be?
This week, hmm. Egypt? Hahah…Honestly, Norway would be awesome.

What are your influences as a band?
We all come from a little different background. I’m personally more a doom/death metal guy, whereas Antti is a thrash metal freak. Vesa spent all 90′s playing and listening to black metal mainly and Matti is a huge fan of 70′s prog and stuff like that.
As a band we look up to old classic bands such as Morbid Angel, Cannibal Corpse, Possessed, Sepultura, Slayer, Celtic Frost, Brutal Truth and the Crown for example.

Are you signed to a label?
Yes, we signed a deal with Violent Journey Records (Finnish underground label, specialized in punk and old school metal) last spring.
Where do you think you’ll be as a band in 5 years?
Doing the same thing, only faster, louder and uglier. Hope to have a few albums out by then.
