Where in Finland are you from?
We are from little municipalities of Sulkava and Juva. They are located in Southeast-Finland and nearest towns are Savonlinna and Mikkeli.
How would you describe your band for those who don’t know you?
Our music is a mix-up from rockabilly and psychobilly with spices of punk, ska and pop-music. We call our music neo-rockabilly. We are rockabilly band and that what we will always be but we don’t also have any limits for making music so our musical line won’t go traditional way. Only rule is
that we try to get along with really instruments! Like most of the bands, we try to find our own way to make music. But when you have fancy mind, that way can get lot of different crossroads.
In gig we are energetic band with lot of passion and it’s not unusual to see us playing in acrobatic positions. Wild guitar with solid drum beat and crazy slappin’ bass, that’s the sound of The Trailblazers!
When did you form as a group?
First version of The Trailblazers has already formed at fall 2002 but in this line-up we have played since November 2006.
What was the inspiration for your recent album?
K.O. don’t have only one inspiration because oldest songs of it has made almost five years ago. We simply pick up our best songs at moment and
recorded them. Our mainline of producing was ‘have no line’.. 
Generally I get inspiration from everything I feel, see and hear. That way I get ideas for songs and I usually write songs at night when is quiet and everyone else is sleeping. Then we put best of those songs to the album without thinking is that song love song or drinking song.
What other releases do you have?
We have released before K.O. EP called Hot Rod Boys 2005 and Last Outlaw album 2007. We have also attended several compilations. Latest one was Finnish Psychobilly Invasion –compilation by Jupiter Stroll Records (2010).
What is your favorite song on your most recent album?
I guess we all have different favorite songs but I think mine one is Wings Of Angel because it is really personal song for me. Of course every song has it’s own story but that one means most to me.
Do you have any gigs coming up?
We have few gigs coming up at spring and summer and we are still looking for them for year 2011. At latest times we have made about 15 gigs at year and I guess that is near of truth in this year too. We have also planned to record our new songs so maybe we see new Trailblazers-album the near future. 
What’s your favorite type of venue to play?
We have mostly played in small clubs but I don’t have one favorite venue to play. If public is in good mood and really live with band, any venue is good place to play.
If you could play anywhere in the world this week, where would it be?
Somewhere we have not ever played before.

What are your influences as a band?
We all three have different musical backgrounds so we have got our musical influences from many genres of music. Of course most of them has come from rockabilly and psychobilly scene. In a nutshell we get influences from rock’n'roll music and life, beautiful girls, having fun, speed and all crazy things which happens everyday in our lives.
People who enjoy your music tend to like what other bands?
It’s hard to say but I like for example Stray Cats, Living End, Eddie Cochran, Johnny Cash, Quakes, Tiger Army, Francine, Rancid, Crazy Cavan & The Rhythm Rockers etc. Maybe our fans would like some of those bands too.
Are you signed to a label?
We have made our records from our own label so we are free to do what we ever want. We haven’t yet decide do we keep going same way or do we try to get deal with some label.
Where do you think you’ll be as a band in 5 years?
I think we are still playing together and having really good time. We have released some records and played lot of gigs all over the world.
