Where in Finland are you from?
Helsinki.
How would you describe your band for those who don’t know you?
Epic, modern, thrash, power metal, spiced up with blastbeats and growling. We like to call it superpower metal.
When did you form as a group?
The band has been playing for quite a while now, but the current line-up was formed some three years ago.
What was the inspiration for your recent album?
It has been told, that one day the Earth shook and as the Warriors of Seraphiel raised their heads and looked up to the skies, they felt their destiny calling. Yet the destiny’s message was unclear. The Warriors stood up to heed the call to find out the true meaning of this message!
So basically we felt like writing a bunch of new songs in addition to a couple of old songs and record some heavey shit.
What other releases do you have?
Currently Opposing Excistence EP (2008) is our only release, though we have recorded a demo earlier, of which we do not speak. Question this and feel our Epic Wrath.
Now we’ve been working on a new EP for some time, which, by the way, is going to kick some serious butt!
What is your favorite song on your most recent album?
Doesn’t really matter – they’ll kick ur butt!
Do you have any gigs coming up?
Not at the moment, because our head of battery is working on his sitting muscles while we have to polish our strings, if you know what I mean. We focus on twisting the knobs, too.
What’s your favorite type of venue to play?
Stadiums, naturally. Unfortunately so far we’ve had to play in pizzerias etc. The audience has usually consisted of middle-aged grannies. Sad, in a way.
If you could play anywhere in the world this week, where would it be?
In the elevator! It’s Sunday, so it’s pretty hard to get a decent place to play at.

What are your influences as a band?
Shred, 70′s disco music and knob twisting.
People who enjoy your music tend to like what other bands?
As we combine different areas of metal, the band range varies from Children of Bodom to Dragonforce.

Where do you think you’ll be as a band in 5 years?
We’ve probably got ourselves into a more professional level, recorded an album or two, played loads of gigs etc. Or then we’ve ended up in jail after 15 world tours.
Is there anything else people should know about Seraphiel?
Seraphiel is full of talent and pure skill. The members of the band also play in several other bands, such as Tracedawn and Medicated.
