Where in Finland are you from?
We are based in the Helsinki area, but some of us have come a long way from Savolax, Stockholm and from the dark backwoods. But “its a long way to the top, if you wanna rock’n'roll, ya know!
How would you describe your band for those who don’t know you?
If you like classic rock from the 70′s and 80′s and dig some of the melodic modern rock acts, then you”ll most likely dig us, too.
When did you form as a group?
Some of us have played together for more long, but this line-up and name were introduced one and a half year ago.
What was the inspiration for your recent album?
We are currently finalizing our debut long play with our producer Andy McCoy from Hanoi Rocks. The fact it’s gonna be our debut album actually gives a great motivation boost to everyone. We really are whipping ourselves to get the best out of ourselves and drive the band to its full potential. We are working our a$$es off and we are sure the album will get some recognition.
What other releases do you have?
We have released a single She Said in 2009 and the single has two songs on it.
What is your favorite song on your most recent album?
Frankly that’s a tricky question. We are gonna have a 10 song album and in the pre-production phase when we chose the songs for the album we cut off some great tunes. If you ask us, any of the album songs could be the first single release.
Do you have any gigs coming up?
Currently booking some for the late 2010 and also planning a series of gigs timed for the album release, appr. Feb 2011 onwards.
What’s your favorite type of venue to play?
Club for the sake of contact to the audience.
If you could play anywhere in the world this week, where would it be?
Germany, some cozy bierstube – we’ve heard the audience is great and the atmosphere can be really intense there!

Yes, we’ve got it all

What are your influences as a band?
As a band we are working on to be unique and our personal favorites can not necessarily be heard from our music. Bands we like include e.g. Metallica, Hurriganes, H.I.M., Hanoi Rocks, Volbeat etc etc.
People who enjoy your music tend to like what other bands?
Classic rock and melodic modern rock. Why not Volbeat, Buckcherry…
Are you signed to a label?
Currently not, but we are working on the administrative side currently.
Where do you think you’ll be as a band in 5 years?
It’s bit before the noon and we are sitting in a hotel lobby somewhere in the middle of Germany. We are touring our third album and are getting ready hit the road to the next venue.
Is there anything else people should know about Ember’s Flame?
When the album’s out, music will do the talking. Beware, it’s gonna blow your mind.
