Suicide Hotline

Where in Finland are you from?

Hellsinky

How would you describe your band for those who don’t know you?

Kickass Attituderock!

When did you form as a group?

Me (Jone) and Gab started talking about forming a band during fall 2006. At that time Gab had started playing with Tommy in another band, which they continued with for a year. After that me and Gab decided to start the band and took Tommy on bass and found Tuomas to play the drums. Pepe joined spring 2008, after answering an add on muusikoiden.net where we were looking for a second guitarist.

What was the inspiration for your recent album?

No album yet :( But heavier songs than before have influenced the latest tracks we’ve made. Songs from bands like Slipknot and Mnemic.

What other releases do you have?

We have 3 limited handmade demos, and a 20 copy (also handmade HAH.. :D ) live cd of our first ever gig.

What is your favorite song on your most recent album?

Everybodym of coursem has their own favorite, but we just recorded 2 new songs last week and a song called “Would You Be My Enemy” is probably my favorite.

Do you have any gigs coming up?

No, we’ve decided to take an inspirational break from everything with the band for the rest of the year. But we’re planning on coming back bigger and stronger next year so keep your eyes open for gigs next spring! ;)

What’s your favorite type of venue to play?

Favorite place we’ve ever played is Gloria. But places like, small clubs. As long as the stage is big enough! A big stage is important when you have a band with 5 guys moving like they were possessed! :D

Do you have a Website, MySpace, Facebook, Twitter etc?

Yepp, MySpace and UK street team MySpace, Facebook, Irc-Galleria group, IRC-Galleria account, ReverbNation and Mikseri.

What are your influences as a band?

As a band, Hardcore Superstar! Hardcore Superstars album named Hardcore Superstar was probably the main reason for starting this band.

People who enjoy your music tend to like what other bands?

Well it’s a pretty wide scale, but we get a lot “You remind me of Turbonegro! In a really good way!” So that’s at least one band to mention :D

Are you signed to a label?

No. Some day?

Where do you think you’ll be as a band in 5 years?

Hopefully touring! And it would be nice to have released an album or two…
