Where in Finland are you from?

All over the place and from outside of Finland too. But we met and the band was put together in our capital Helsinki.

How would you describe your band for those who don’t know you?

Supercore! Catchy choruses and blindingly complex playing.

When did you form as a group?

At the end of the year 2008.

What was the inspiration for your recent album?

Titties and beer… also to make kickass songs which seemed impossible to play live at first. They’re not that hard anymore.

What other releases do you have?

A self-titled promo release from the fall of 2008 and the “In/Die”- ep which was released in May 2009

What is your favorite song on your most recent album?

It seems to vary all the time but “No Redemption, No Regrets” is a winner, I think.

Do you have any gigs coming up?

YES. We have fixed a bunch of gigs to Finland, Sweden and Latvia for the fall 2010. You can find our ever-expanding gig calendar from our website, MySpace and Facebook communities.

What’s your favorite type of venue to play?

We’ve only played clubs and they seem to work beautifully. Maybe bigger clubs and festivals in the future?

If you could play anywhere in the world this week, where would it be?

I dunno about this week but we would love to play in Roskilde this year! I mean, they’ve got Prince for christ’s sake!!!

We got all of the above.

What are your influences as a band?

Other bands and artists, bad (although we think they’re awesome) action movies and Pearl of Fair Play.

People who enjoy your music tend to like what other bands?

I guess anything but if you’re looking for bands to refer: Protest The Hero, Sikth, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Textures, Faith No More, Dauntless and Vikingarna.

Are you signed to a label?

No we’re not.

Where do you think you’ll be as a band in 5 years?

Hopefully doing those bigger clubs and festivals.

Is there anything else people should know about For The Imperium?

If you know about us, you should make sure that your granny, pappy and pets do too! In other words: spread the word people! See ya at gigs!
