It all began in 2008 when Antti and Tuomas started jamming together that the idea of a band began to form. The two had met previously through their former band, Bullet Ride and formed a friendship that would see them into future…

Tarko, a friend of Tuomas’, was asked to join shortly thereafter. Marios, having made the move from Rauma to Tampere, ended up living next door to Antti. One day Antti spotted Marios and through some conversation, was asked to join them as their singer.

Their new band name was a proposal made by Tuomas that symbolizes the steps of life which we all have to take on this short time we breath and feel…the bird symbolizes the freedom to choose your pathway in this journey of life. STAIRS has taken shape…

STAIRS is currently working on their debut album which they hope to have recorded this spring for a 2010 release. They are also currently working on a video for their song ‘Afraid Of Yourself’.
