Where in Finland are you from?
-From different towns of western and southern Finland.
How would you describe your band for those who don’t know you?
-We are like the day’s first cigarette or first beer, it always tastes the best.
When did you form as a group?
-It was in early 2009.
What was the inspiration for your recent album?
-Westerns, Mexican holiday “the day of the dead” along with things that happen in everyday life in good and in bad.
What other releases do you have?
-Our first single “Over The Edge” was released in April 2009 and it’s also included on the Bulletproof EP.
What is your favorite song on your most recent album?
-This is a hard one. Like asking a mother who is her favorite child. It’s impossible to choose.
Do you have any gigs coming up?
-Yup. Our next gig is at S-osis, in Turku on March 6th, 2010. We are booking more gigs all over Finland, cities like Tampere, Helsinki etc.
What’s your favorite type of venue to play?
-It differs. Basically it’s a place full of energy (not necessarily nuclear plant ), a place where energy is conveyed best between the band and the crowd.
If you could play anywhere in the world this week, where would it be?
-This week it could be some big once-in-a-lifetime happening or a festival with lots of people, lots of great bands and lots of fun. Next week it could be say Skinwalker Ranch maybe?

What are your influences as a band?
-Rock music from different decades, bands who stayed true to themselves and did things their own way.
People who enjoy your music tend to like what other bands?
-We have been told that fans who like our music listen also bands such as Guns ‘n Roses, Hanoi Rocks, Queen, Velvet Revolver, Metallica etc.
Are you signed to a label?
-Not yet. We are searching for a record deal.
Where do you think you’ll be as a band in 5 years?
-We have released a couple long plays via some record label and we’re “on the road again” to our next show.
Is there anything else people should know about Roadside Story?
-We don’t follow any trends of today we leave them to other “rock bands”. Our mission is to save the state of rock music. It’s a dirty job but somebody has to do it!
