Where In Finland Are You From?

Jyväskylä, it’s situated in the central of Finland.

How Would You Describe Your Band For Those Who Don’t Know You?

We play quite heavy, a bit technical and even progressive but melodic metal with mostly clean vocals, combining flavors from death, trash, HC with ‘pop-like’ melodies..or something like that… :)

When Did You Form As A Group?

The group started as a 2-man project in the beginning of the decade by me and our guitar player Pasi.

What Was The Inspiration For Your Recent Album?

Pasi composes almost all of our music so I can’t really say where he got his inspiration but I can sure talk about the lyrical side of the ep. Our songs are mostly about emotions that people feel in a certain situation. I tend to have this radar on when walking the streets or sitting in a cafe. I see people and kinda try to imagine what it would be like to step in their shoes or what’s going on in their heads. And for some reason, I tend to choose the most poor or depressed looking people…:) But hey, it’s heavy metal, it isn’t supposed to be fun…:D

The theme for our latest release was anxiety and how people just aren’t happy for the things they already have and they always want something more. Or at least the dark side of this. I’d like to say that my lyrics are about the people and world they are living, nothing more, nothing less. And they are just stories, I don’t want to write anything too personal…

What Other Releases Do You Have?

‘World In Flames’ is our 5th self-produced EP. All the previous ones have been sold out and aren’t available anymore…

What Is Your Favorite Song On Your Most Recent Album?

They all have their moments and are dear to me in their own unique way but…well, ‘Forever Fading’ is the most fun to play live…

Do You Have Any Gigs Coming Up?

We’ve got some pre-bookings for summer, but nothing to be mentioned yet, just check out the updates on our website…

What’s Your Favorite Type Of Venue To Play?

A big club or a festival mainstage, there are good and bad sides in both of them but it’s always fun to play when you see that the audience is enjoying our music…

If You Could Play Anywhere In The World This Week, Where Would It Be?

I’m not sure about the venues this week, anywhere where there’s a big headliner and lots of people… :)

Do You Have A Website, Trig, MySpace, Facebook Etc.?

What Are Your Influences As A Band?

I guess that the most significant influences as a band come from old finnish death metal bands like Amorphis and Sentenced, that is when they were still playing death though, and some swedish bands of the same genre too. Of course, all the members have their own unique tastes of music that varies from extreme metal and rock all the way to jazz, classical and world music, and I’d like to think that every little piece of this band affects the way that we sound.

People Who Enjoy Your Music Tend To Like What Other Bands?

I think that anyone who enjoys brutal melodic death metal and clean singing should definitely check us out, though I think that we are bit easier to get into than the average metal band, meaning if you don’t have any earlier experience in metal…

Are You Signed To A Label?

No, we’re publishing our work independently, though we are at the moment searching for parties for co-operation…

Where Do You Think You’ll Be As A Band In 5 Years?

I really hope that we still enjoy making this music and playing shows. Hopefully we have 20 times bigger audience than now and maybe even earn a bit of living with the music but what matters the most is that we’ll have fun doing our thing…

Is There Anything Else People Should Know About The Myth Of Autumn?

You should really come see a show since that’s what the band is all about. You can read about us in a magazine or listen to our CD’s but if you haven’t seen us live, you know nothing… :) Hope to see you all on a gig!!
