Metal that combines death metal elements to more melodic styles, not hampered by artificial genre restrictions. A live band definitely!

What Was The Inspiration For Your Recent Album?
‘Purgatory of the Second Sun’ pretty much dealt with the end of the world, war, death, despair, loneliness, hopelessness and other human woes.

Turmoil 2004, Fearrage 2006 and related singles.
What Is Your Favorite Song On Your Most Recent Album?
‘The Harvest’, ‘Last of Forever’, ‘Dreamcrusher’, ‘My Last Words’, but as I have to say one, I say ‘The Harvest’.
Do You Have Any Gigs Coming Up?
Yeah, we have been keeping a low profile since we changed our lineup a little and have been writing new stuff but we will be playing at Wanaja Festival this summer, July 18th.
What’s Your Favorite Type Of Venue To Play?
A club or big festival. Club most preferably IF it is packed.
If You Could Play Anywhere In The World This Week, Where Would It Be?
Probably in Japan somewhere, anywhere is fine if there are even a handful of people having fun there.

What Are Your Influences As A Band?
Too many various bands to mention but it ranges from Metallica and Slayer to Immortal and such. We like lots of different styles even outside the metal genre.
People Who Enjoy Your Music Tend To Like What Other Bands?
I have no clue, I have seen us labeled alongside with melodic death metal bands which I guess can be expected but I can’t really name any bands.
Are You Signed To A Label?
Not anymore. We discontinued our deal with our previous label and now are taking our time to carefully select with whom if anyone we will work with in the future.
Where Do You Think You’ll Be As A Band In 5 Years?
No idea. Hopefully still playing metal and staying true to ourselves even if not playing metal.
Is There Anything Else People Should Know About Pain Confessor?
We are still alive and kicking, even more so than before! Just wait and see.
