How Would You Describe Your Band For Those Who Don’t Know You?

Well, it’s a rock band, an alternative rock band you might say. We play tight and loud with lots of backing vocals. And big melodies.

When Did You Form As A Group?

We formed Happiness in 2005. Although we had been playing together for 8 years before that with a different guitarist.

What Was The Inspiration For Your Recent Album?

Most of the songs were written in a quite saturnine mood. In those moments when you feel that all the prospects are dim and the end is near.

What Other Releases Do You Have?

We have released 3 singles from "66ft Melodies", and they all contain b-sides. The singles are ‘Accelerate’, ‘Need You’ and ‘Eternal Sunshine Of A Communist Mind’.

What Is Your Favorite Song On Your Most Recent Album?

I remember going to the studio thinking ‘Fixes’ is our best song. Then I thought ‘Euphoria Skies’ is the best one. ‘We Have Come In Means Of Terror’ was my favorite for a long time as well. What’s my favorite right now? I don’t know, it’s too hard to pick just one. ‘LBJ’, maybe?

Do You Have Any Gigs Coming Up?

Yeah, we do have some.

What’s Your Favorite Type Of Venue To Play?

I refuse to say Tavastia, so from the places we’ve been playing, I will have to go with Helsinki Ice Hall. Favorite venue to play, that is. Not necessarily the best venue to go and see a gig.

If You Could Play Anywhere In The World This Week, Where Would It Be?

That’s an easy one: the moon.

What Are Your Influences As A Band?

Band influences…Tool…ahh, there are so many…Queens Of The Stone Age, Radiohead, Queen, Depeche Mode…and Regina Spektor!!

I think people who enjoy our music would like QOTSA, possibly Muse and Mew as well. How should I know? But I think they all must have a very good taste of music. And a beautiful mind.
