Where In Finland Are You From?

-AIB HQ locates in South of Finland, Järvenpää. The members are around of this area from the different cities.

How Would You Describe Your Band For Those Who Don’t Know You?

-AIB is a mixture of old school metal and a modern metal. Music bases on guitar riffs and rough but melodic vocals with catchy choruses. And of course the excellent drum working.

When Did You Form As A Group?

-The band started in 1992 under the name St. Mucus and it was re-named to AIB in 1996. Since those days there’s been a several line up changes.

What Was The Inspiration For Your Recent Album?

-The biggest inspiration has always been a will to create music. I don’t usually try to get any specific theme for the songs. It happens always very spontaneously and depends about my mood. Sometimes if I’m not very creative I just take the ideas from the spine and make it happen.

What Other Releases Do You Have?

-The first release was St. Mucus – Natural Mutation, 1995. The self-titled debut of AIB came out 1997 and "Agitation" 1998. The most recent “The Truth…” was originally released in 2001 through the American label which name I can’t even remember. The whole process was so strange that I really can’t even find the words to express my confusion about it. But the album was re-released in Finland 2005.

What Is Your Favorite Song On Your Most Recent Album?

-My personal opinion is “Gone With You”

What’s Your Favorite Type Of Venue To Play?

-Open air festivals are good, you get some fresh air for free at the same time

If You Could Play Anywhere In The World This Week, Where Would It Be?

-As a person who lives in Finland I have to say that this time of the year it would be somewhere like Caribbean.

Do You Have A Website, Trig, MySpace, Facebook Etc.?

What Are Your Influences As A Band?

-For me as a song writer it’s the life itself. When I’m composing I try to do something what feels right and suits my idea of good music. To do it that way which is the most natural for my skills and needs. And with this current line up it’s very easy to reach what I’m aiming for coz these guys really have a same kind of attitude and thoughts about how AIB should sound.

People Who Enjoy Your Music Tend To Like What Other Bands?

-Well, I think AIB is something that’s easy to listen even you like heavier or not so heavy stuff, if you know what I’m saying. I’m not sure if it’s possible to call us a mainstream band, but let’s say that we are neither a marginal stuff.

Are You Signed To A Label?

-No, we’re not.

Where Do You Think You’ll Be As A Band In 5 Years?

-Never wanna think about the future further than tomorrow, but hopefully AIB is doing fine and has been spreading the word of metal all over the world and given a joyful moments for all of our fans.

Is There Anything Else People Should Know About Am I Blood?

-I’d like to mention about the new album which is in progress right now, it’s been a while since something has happened in the AIB camp but will assure our upcoming stuff will kick ass heavier than ever, Amen!
