Allow us to introduce to a band of four very enthusiastic boys, Vesku, Arska, Otto and Otso. They hail from the land of ice and snow, or as most know it, Helsinki, Finland. The band was formed when Vesku met Arska through mutual friends. Otto, who was friends with Arska, was asked to join the group. Now all they needed was a drummer, who they found in their friend Otso.
From there Danny Lips was born in the spring of 2006. By September of that year, they had released their first demo, ‘Who’s Been Bad?’. That was followed by an EP in December 2007, titled ‘Freefall’. After numerous gigs and a couple of years together, the band headed back into the studio in 2008 to record their third EP, titled ‘No Reward’.
Their music is a fusion of various sounds such as classic/hard rock, blues, heavy metal and even some elements of punk can be found. It’s no wonder you’ll find these and other influences in their music. Danny Lips gains their inspiration from bands such as Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Muse, Audioslave, The Rolling Stones, Black Sabbath, Queens Of The Stone Age and Foo Fighters, just to name a few influences.
