Am I Blood
Am I Blood was formed in the suburbs of Helsinki in 1992. They were known as St. Mucus in those days and by 1995, they had released their first album, titled ‘Natural Mutation’. By 1997, they had underwent some lineup changes, renamed the band to Am I Blood and released a self-titled second album. The following year, 1998, they released a thrid album, ‘Agitation’ and then things went quiet in the AIB camp.
2001 saw the band with a new album (their fourth), ‘The Truth Inside The Dying Sun’, being released in the US. In 2005, A1 Metal LTD signed the album and re-released it in Finland. By this time, the band had undergone yet another lineup change with the addition of Mickey Tanttu (Drums) and Tomi Luoma (Guitar). Both are current members of the band Kill The Romance.
Late 2008, the band hit the studios once again to being recording their fifth album. The album, titled ‘Existance Of Trauma’, should be released sometime in 2009 but a date hasn’t been confirmed yet. For those who are already fans of Am I Blood can expect an album that will ‘kick ass heavier than ever’ and for those who have yet to discover the wonders of AIB, then sit tight, you’re in for a ride.
