Starcrash
Pepe and Tuomas, original founders and songwriters of Starcrash, have played together before in some line-ups and gathered interest from many different directions. They had made a childhood promise to play together in the same band making music forever come what may. In 2004, they finally followed their hearts, kept their promise to each other and started playing the kind of music they had always wanted to play. Starcrash was beginning to take form…
Starcrash grew when Tuomas’ brother, Aapo, joined the band as their drummer. Then they recruited a young promising keyboardist by the name of Lasse. The band reached its final form when Make joined the band as their bass player.
By the fall of 2005, Starcrash had recorded their first demo. It was a success but the band wasn’t quite satisfied with their sound. After their second demo in the early 2006, they instantly knew they had found the sound they were looking for.
By the fall of 2008, Starcrash had parted ways with their label, Plastinka Records, and are currently looking for a new label that will better fulfill their needs as a band. While the parting was on good terms, the band wasted no time in hitting the studio to record some new songs. Their Promo 2008 CD, which has tracks such as ‘Addicted’,’ Running To You’, ‘Forever And A Day’ and ‘My Life’, have been described by the band as the best stuff they’ve ever done.
A lot has happened since 2004…Some of it good, some of it not so good. Now, here in the fall of 2008, Starcrash is stronger and better sounding than ever. They’re ready and willing to let the world hear it! So stay tuned!
