Where in Finland are you from?
Jyväskylä + Joensuu + Tampere
How would you describe your band for those who don’t know you?
Straight-forward and intensive rock’n'roll!
When did you form as a group?
Arttu has played with Matti and Juho in many bands over the years, and since moving to Jyväskylä, he started looking for an amazing singer and stunning drummer, ending up with Kosti and Aslak.
What was the inspiration for your recent album?
Mainly just playing the music we all love.
What other releases do you have?
Let It Burn! is our first release.
What is your favorite song on your most recent album?
We all have our favourites quite equally shared.
Do you have any gigs coming up?
The Eastwood can be seen live from early 2012. Check out the gigs at our Facebook pages.
What’s your favorite type of venue to play?
Headlining rock clubs.
If you could play anywhere in the world this week, where would it be?
Hammersmith Odeon, London.
Do you have a Website, MySpace, Facebook, Twitter etc?
What are your influences as a band?
Whitesnake, Mustasch, Deep Purple, Queen, The Hellacopters, Mr. Big, Tom Petty, Foo Fighters, Bad Company, Lynyrd Skynyrd… Too many to mention all.
People who enjoy your music tend to like what other bands?
Good question; We don’t know. Hopefully our influences.
Are you signed to a label?
Not yet.
Where do you think you’ll be as a band in 5 years?
Hopefully at Hammersmith Odeon and beyond!
Is there anything else people should know about The Eastwood?
The Eastwood plays the kind of music you like to listen to. At least we think so.
