Soaring guitar riffs, vigorous bass lines, catchy melodies and pumping drum beats… the recipe for an indie lover’s wet dream… the truly distinctive sound of the Firsts! An international line-up gives the Helsinki-based Brit-pop influenced band an irresistible flavour with plenty of seasoning. Tune your ears in and get ready for your new addiction!

The Firsts released their debut single ‘Tenby’ on February 6th 2010. Inspired by front man Morgan’s home town, the song is about life in a small community where nothing ever happens. The band employed the services of 22-Pistepirkko’s Asko Keränen to produce the single and after a couple of months hard work the band was rewarded with radio play on Radio Helsinki, Finnish Underground Radio and articles in Rumba magazine and the Tenby Observer newspaper.

The Firsts’ self-produced second single ‘Chihuahua’ was released on May 7th 2010. The release was accompanied by a music video which has attracted a global audience.

Beginning today (August 1, 2010), The Firsts will release a new track available for free downloading at their Sound Cloud page. Another track will be released on September 1, 2010 followed by a new free track on the first of each month until they have enough tracks to make their compilation album.

Their plan is to make the compilation album (complete with artwork etc.) available for purchase only. Once the album is released, the tracks included on it will no longer be available for free. If you don’t have them yet, then get over to Sound Cloud and get yours while you can!!
