New Q & A With The Bands: Neglected Fear
Where in Finland are you from?
We are from the coastline near the town Vaasa, from the smaller “towns” Närpiö and Maalahti.
How would you describe your band for those who don’t know you?
We are a band that plays metalcore and hardcore mostly, but we also have many more influences that inspire our band…Paramore is one example that I guess no one could even guess. And we are crazy on stage acting like we do not care about anything, just being ourselves and taking one step at the time. But we love and appreciate every fan we can get, and we show them all love and respect for what they do to us. Not taking anything for granted or letting it get to our heads.
When did you form as a group?
We had our first rehearsal September 2009.
What was the inspiration for your recent album?
The inspiration for the album…we are planning on releasing it fall/winter 2010.. And the inspiration came just from ourselves, we want to prove to people that wherever you come from you can still do whatever you want…You just have to believe in yourself and if everything goes alright it is pretty awesome. Since we are not signed we have still many things to prove, and we are not the type of band that gives up, we just keep going and going.
What other releases do you have?
We released a demo in October 2009, and the single now June 2010 which are not available in any shops or anything…Just from us at shows and such.
What is your favorite song on your most recent album?
On the upcoming album there is a song called Until The End Of Time, which is also the name of the single and it is on there too.. That is my favorite song, and the band’s too.
Do you have any gigs coming up?
Yeah we do, at a “festival” in Kristiinankaupunki called Lidstock which is a great opportunity for unsigned bands to play and show what they go for. And another in Uusikarlepyy which is like the biggest event in the town, and they have a stage there with several bands.
What’s your favorite type of venue to play?
We just love to play outdoors. Open Air for the win!
If you could play anywhere in the world this week, where would it be?
I have no idea what festivals or whatsoever is going on in the world right now… but we just love playing doesn’t even matter if it is to 10 people or to 10,000.. Anywhere is good to us.

Yes we got MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Last.fm.
What are your influences as a band?
Mainly Parkway Drive, Misery Signals and Meshuggah.
People who enjoy your music tend to like what other bands?
Hard to say, we have got so many responses but mostly metal but also some that listens to other genres and genres not even close to metal have also said that they enjoy our music.
Are you signed to a label?
Not yet, working on it.
Where do you think you’ll be as a band in 5 years?
Well time will tell, won’t it? Hopefully still a band busting our asses out around the world but yeah, we’ll see in five years
